SmallRig 2981B Overview

Protect and secure the cables on your Canon EOS R5 C, R5, R6, or R6 Mark II camera with this HDMI and USB-C Cable Clamp from SmallRig. The durable aluminum clamp is compatible with SmallRig cages for the Canon EOS R5 C, R5, R6, or R6 Mark II camera.

Designed to prevent the camera's HDMI and USB-C cables from accidentally disconnecting, this clamp attaches to the side of the cage using two M3 screws. The cables are secured with easy-to-grasp knurled 1/4"-20 screws. Each screw adjusts a sliding block that can be tightened to accommodate varying diameters. Two Allen wrenches are included to secure the screws.

Advertised to work with black mamba cage 1.has one screw hole instead of two like shown but states it works with it. 2. Doesn’t fit the black mamba slide 3.screw is too small to even fit the singular hole.

This was listed as an add on for the Black Mamba Cage It does not fit this cage The cable clamp that fits the Black Mamba Cage is no longer available unless you buy the Black Mamba Cage Kit, which includes the correct cable clamp. I don't know why you can't buy the cable clamp for the Black Mamba Cage??????

No, the SmallRig HDMI and USB-C Cable Clamp for Canon EOS R5 C/R5/R6/R6 Mark II Cage requires a cage to be mounted to the EOS R5.

Just to be sure I understand, will having this clamp hold the cord in place securely so it will not come off at all?

The SmallRig HDMI and USB-C Cable Clamp for Canon EOS R5 C/R5/R6/R6 Mark II Cage is designed to prevent cables from loosening and ensure stable signal transmission by securing the cables to the camera. Please note, you must be using the correct SmallRig cage it was designed for to work with the cable clamp.

Will this cable clamp work with the SmallRig "Black Mamba" Camera Cage MFR #3890?

It Definitely does not work with the Black mamba Cage for the EOS R6 Mark II as the screws are too small, it comes with M3 screws and it needs M4 size according to the instructions
