Additionally, its Smart Illumination backlighting adapts to your environment and automatically turns on as your hands approach. Pair the MX Keys S with up to three Bluetooth devices in addition to using the included Logi Bolt USB-A adapter with your Windows or Mac computer. Then optimize your experience with the Logi Options+ software for Windows and macOS to add shortcuts, adjust the backlighting preferences, and smoothly transfer text and files between multiple computers.

On a normal use basis, the MX Keys can last up to 10 days; however, with backlight off, it's rated to last up to 5 months. Please note that actual battery life will depend on usage.

Use the Options+ Flow feature to transfer text, images, and files between computers by simply copying on one and pasting to the other. You can even use Flow between Windows and macOS computers.
Stay Informed
Get full, always-on control of device status. Stay informed on low battery levels, get notifications if Caps Lock is on, and check which computers are paired with your keyboard.

I love this keyboard! It’s got weight to it, so it doesn’t move around when you place your hands on it. The keys are clicky, but not annoying or hard to depress in any way. The low profile of the keys makes for fast and smooth typing, even with hand pain (like me). I love the two-computer pairing ability so I can easily switch between my work setup and home computer! So, far the battery seems to last a very long time. It came fully charged and I’ve probably used it 100 hours so far and it’s not empty yet. The USB-C charging is ideal. I was skeptical because of the price but I am honestly thinking of buying a second one to use at work because I love the feel of this one so much.

I’m really enjoying this keyboard! It lasts over a week on a single charge. I haven’t used it for more than a week after charging, but it still has 90% battery after just 6 days of being on for 12 hours a day.

Hi, the battery for MX Keys S Wireless Keyboard rechargeable and not replaceable. It is a built-in battery, so it cannot be removed or replaced.

Can the Logi Bolt receiver be connected thru a USB-C to USB-A hub? Will this cause increased latency or dropouts?

If a hub doesn't work well, can the Logi Bolt receiver be used reliably with a laptop that has only 1 USB-C port for I/O?

The Logitech Logi Bolt USB Receiver (BH #LOBLTRCVMXKM), which is included in the Logitech MX Keys S Wireless Keyboard & Mouse Combo Kit (Black), uses a USB-A connection, so it will not be able to plug directly into a USB-C port. You could use a USB adapter like the Pearstone USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A Female to USB Type-C Male Adapter (BH #PEAAFCM) to adapt the Logi Bolt to your computer's USB-C input.

The Windows key on the Logitech MX Keys S Wireless Keyboard (Black), B&H # LOMXKSB, is labeled as "Start / Option." When using it with a Mac, it would work as the option key; when working with a PC, it would function as the Windows key.

Note: the answer from the Logitech rep that mentions connecting "via Bluetooth or the INCLUDED Logi Bolt USB receiver only applies to the keyboard/mouse kits. This item does not include the Logi Bolt USB receiver when purchased as keyboard only. The box states "Compatible with Logi Bolt USB receiver (not included)".

Hi, is it compatible with any mice in the logictech M series?

The Logitech MX Keys S Wireless Keyboard would connect to your computer independently of other peripherals, so there would not be any compatibility problems with a mouse. If you have a Logitech mouse which supports the Logi Bolt receiver, then both devices could use the same USB receiver. Otherwise, there would normally be no interaction between your keyboard and mouse.
