For the price, these lenses are unbeatable. I absolutely love them. Great look, even wide open. Smooth action. Great build quality. My 85mm, mounted to a Canon c70, took a hard fall onto concrete on the last shoot. It's got a dent, but that bad boy is still rocking like nothing happened. Absolutely would recommend these gems to anyone looking for a fantastic, all around cine lens option.

The lens I received made a scraping noise when the focus ring was turned. This is unacceptable, especially for a cinema lens. I returned it. The replacement lens I received makes the same noise. I own 25mm and 40mm Nisi Athenas which are silent and smooth. Either there was a bad batch of 85mm lenses along with poor quality control, or this lens is very poorly designed and constructed and unlike the other Athena Primes.

No, the The NiSi ATHENA PRIME 85mm T1.9 Full-Frame Lens (FUJIFILM G) Lens will not fully cover the medium-format GFX sensor for video.
