Lilliput HT10S Overview

Input, pass through, and display 4K and Full HD on this HT10S 10.1" High-Bright 1500 cd/m² On-Camera Touchscreen Monitor from LILLIPUT. With a high 1500 cd/m² maximum brightness and an auto-dimming function, you can use this monitor on exterior shoots with or without the included sun hood, as well as on interior shoots. The touchscreen monitor supports HDMI 2.0 input/output up to UHD 4K60 and 3G-SDI input/output up to 1080p60.

The monitor supports 170° H/V viewing angles for good color and contrast, even when viewed from off-center. The monitor powers using the included L-series battery plate or via a separately available DC power adapter or optional V-mount battery plate. The included LANC cable provides the ability to control the record, focus, iris, and zoom on a LANC-enabled camera directly from the touchscreen display UI.

I need to revise my review because since my last review and complaint about not having a battery life indicator using NPF batteries, Lilliput quickly created an NPF plate that uses the rear input pins to power the monitor instead of the DC input. So with this new plate, we can now see the battery life indicator of the NPF batteries. Note that you need to contact Lilliput to order this separate part. In future shipments, they may include this, but as of this writing you need to buy it separately. This still loses 1 star for the near impossible task of loading luts into this monitor because you need a special converted lut file for which you can only get through Lilliput's proprietary software and it requries a software key from which you can only ogtain by contacting their sales department vai email - wierd. Overall, this screen is nicer than the Feelworld LUT11, it has a faster refresh rate and the picture looks crisper and clearer. The Feelworld LUT11 also drains batteries really fast when the screen is off. Kudos to Lilliput's quick response.

Flimsy body

One wrong move and this thing will break. The mounting screw holes and casing are flimsy and can barely hold the monitor up, plus they aren't deep enough for some arms. Cheaply made exterior. I looked for a cage, but none exist at this time. It's too bad because the monitor itself works fine. If you look on their youtube you can see the monitor rocking back and forth when touched

Does this monitor allow you to reverse the image on the screen? I want to use this as a handheld prompter monitor.

Yes, the Lilliput HT10S 10.1" High-Bright 1500 cd/m² On-Camera Touchscreen Monitor has an HV Flip option for reverse image.

Will the HDMI input enumerate native panel resolution (1920x1200 @ 60Hz) when connected to a capable GPU on a PC?

No, the Lilliput HT10S 10.1" High-Bright 1500 cd/m² On-Camera Touchscreen Monitor does not support 1920 x 1200 resolution video. It will support UHD 4K, 1080, and 720 resolutions but not 1920 x 1200.

Will this unit fully power off with the battery connected? E.g. no LED remaining lit, etc.

It is our understanding that the Lilliput HT10S 10.1" High-Bright 1500 cd/m² On-Camera Touchscreen Monitor powers completely off particularly because it does not have an IR remote..

If I plug in an HDMI can it out put that image through SDI? Basically can it be an HDMI to SDI converter?

No, the Lilliput HT10S does not support cross conversion. HDMI will not be sent to the SDI output. The display does have loop through ports though. So HDMI can be looped out to the second HDMI port. This is also the same with SDI.

No, the gimbal bracket is not included in the package of the Lilliput HT10S 10.1" High-Bright 1500 cd/m² On-Camera Touchscreen Monitor.
