Expand your mounting options and protect your Canon EOS R50 with this Full Camera Cage from SmallRig. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads throughout the cage offer mounting points for articulating arms, cable clamps, and other accessories. A cold shoe mount at the top of the cage can accommodate an on-camera monitor or fill light. A NATO rail on the left side of the cage allows you to integrate a cable clamp. When attached to the camera, the cage's Arca-Swiss QR plate can easily transition your rig from handheld to tripod- or gimbal-mounted. You can even attach a shoulder strap buckle using the integrated QD socket.

SmallRig 4214 Reviews
Seems Fine
It's a typical cage by small rig. I've had several with very good luck and performance. One clever thing is how the cage secures to the body. They use the strap loops to hook the cage on. It's actually pretty cool. One down-side and it's potentially bad! With a Canon RF16-35 2.8 L IS USM it's really tight to release the lens lock with your finger. I could barely reach in to get the lens off...
For my purposes, zero stars
Smallrig indicated these were out, but I had to wait many, many weeks for it to ship. I finally got it installed, and then noticed that it was impossible to get the connecter for my dummy battery through the cutout. They left room for the rubber cover to swing out and allow the cord through, so I know they thought about it. They just didn't make the cutout big enough for the connector. So I have to either install the cage when I want to take it to shoot remote, or leave it on the desk without the cage. This is the first thing from SmallRig that I've been disappointed in, but this is a worthless hunk of metal for me.
