The black Action X50 V2 Backpack from Shimoda Designs has a 50L capacity and offers photographers a compact, durable carry solution that allows fast access to gear. Two padded sleeves hold and protect laptops or tablets up to 16". The roll top access allows you to expand or compress the volume depending on your needs. There are multiple attachment straps including TPU compression straps for increased durability when attaching bulky items such as skis. The removable helmet holder secures a bike or ski helmet to the exterior of your pack.

The pack's interchangeable and adjustable shoulder straps feature two zippered pockets to carry the latest pro-sized smartphone, a water bottle, or personal accessories. The removable waist belt offers stability and weight distribution when carrying heavy loads and the trolley sleeve attaches to your rolling luggage handle for seamless travel. Two removable pouches hold a tripod or water bottle and can be moved to the waist belt for instant access or removed completely. A hidden sleeve is designed to hold an AirTag so you can locate your pack if it gets lost or stolen.

Expandable Roll Top
The roll top expands to add an additional capacity of 7L if you need it. The top also has a YKK SplashGuard zipper for quick and easy access to your gear.
Adjustable Torso Height
The X50 has four height options with approximately 3.5" of vertical adjustment. The pack adjusts to provide a custom fit for short, medium and tall torso heights.
Dual Laptop/Tablet Sleeves
Dedicated sleeves are padded and accommodate a 16" laptop plus a tablet.
Hidden Sleeve for Tracking Device
A hidden sleeve holds an AirTag or Tile Pro tracking device so you can locate your pack if it gets lost or stolen.

Great backpack for travel or long days

This is my second Action X and I love it. I primarily shoot wildlife so carrying either my Z9 with 400mm f2.8 or the 180-600 on a regular basis. For travel, like Panama, I can fit my 400mm 2.8 attached to the Z9 body, 100-400, 24-120, and the 105 macro, using the Large DSLR V2 core unit. Plus, batteries cords and laptop, and it fits in the overhead space on standard airlines. Even on day trips I carry it so I have a place for jackets. snacks, sit pad, ext. The V2 has two place for the laptop which make easier access when traveling and better adjustments on the waist belt for us folks with small frames...5'6", 125lbs. My original bag had been to Alaska, Honduras, and lot of trip into the Colorado mountains since 2020 with the only issue being the zipper broke on the internal "bucket" separating the top from the lower core. Shimoda did replace the liner even with the bag out of warranty. Since it was no arriving in time I bought the second bag. That is how much I like and depend on it.

very, very expensive pack. The plastic clip/snap that closes the water-tight top of the sack broke after 7 days of use on a hiking trip.

Yes, the Peak Design Travel Camera Cube (Large) will fit into the Shimoda Designs Action X50 V2 Backpack (Black, 50L). The V2 is snug.

The Shimoda Designs Action X50 V2 Backpack (Yellow, 50L) (B&H# SHV2AX50Y) is especially sturdy and even features YKK SplashGuard zippers to inhibit the entry of water. However, it is not considered water resistant in our industry's terminology (which would require that it be able to prevent water entry even if immersed in water), so you would want to stay out of standing water and deep mud, both of those being occasional features of certain wet canyons in the western USA.
