Hello no, that's not what I'm taking about. I'm not taking about a ring separation tool. I'm taking about a black plastic washer similar to the size of a quarter with about a .25 in hole in the middle that came with the half case... not a strap.

Yes, you do not need to take the Leica Half Case Q3 (Leather, Black) off to use it on a tripod.
