The Eartec EVADE EVX5S-CM is a dual-channel full-duplex wireless intercom system suitable for facilitating communication among 5 people for light industrial applications. This version of the system includes the Conference Module, a dual-channel wireless repeater, which allows for 2 completely independent crews to talk privately. In addition, the Conference Module expands the EVADE system to accommodate up to 16 users; a second Conference Module (available separately) can be added to accommodate a maximum of 32 users.
This configuration includes one single-ear master headset for the team leader and 4 single-ear remote headsets. The core technology necessary for operating the intercom system, including the battery, has been built into the headset's earcup—eliminating the need for wires or a bodypack. The headsets link automatically for transmission in the 2.4 GHz spectrum at a maximum range up to 2640', while the system's frequency-hopping technology automatically switches to a clear frequency if interference is detected on any of the channels, helping to ensure clear, reliable communication.
The microphone boom on each headset swivels up to 270°, allowing the user to wear it on the left or right side. Rotating the boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone, and a simple five-level volume control is easily accessed on the earcup. Each headset features a rechargeable LiPo battery, which will power it for up to 8 hours. 5 rechargeable batteries, a nine-bay multi-port charger, and a large soft-side case are provided.
The lightweight Conference Module digital transceiver can be worn on a belt or placed centrally on location and is super-easy to use. Pressing the conference button on the module's face connects the entire team and tapping the button again re-separates the groups.
