Seagate Pro Internal HDD Reviews
Seems to be rocking along
I had a hard time using this hard drive until I discovered that my external enclosure doesn't support these larger drives. I ended up getting the Vantec NexStar TX 3.5 USB 3.0 Enclosure and it has been working great ever since. BTW on the enclosure I had to loosen the screws on the control board to get the connector to fit.
Family Archive Disk 3 of 3
This is one of three hards drives purchased for a family archive. Each drive is a manually mirrored copy. Each will live at a different sibling's home. Each will be spun up every six to eight month for an hour or two to keep them active. I also have a working set of hard drives for pulling data. New data will be added to the working drives, uploaded and downloaded by my siblings and added to the master they have. Keeping family information for future generations is important. Follow the rules: Backup, Redundancy, Separation, Confirmation of Data.
