Watson SP8U-6 Overview

Turn one outlet into eight with the black 8-Outlet Surge Protector with USB from Watson, which features eight NEMA 5-15R outlets, each of which provides up to 2450 joules of surge protection, and two of which are block-sized to accommodate large plugs without blocking access to other outlets. A 15A circuit helps protect devices such as computers, TVs, and mobile electronics, while two USB-A ports, one of which provides quick charging, and two USB-C ports with power delivery lets you charge devices with 5V/3A or up to 20W of power.

This surge protector connects to a wall outlet using an integrated NEMA 5-15P plug with a 6' cord. The plug is equipped with a right-angle connector that is oriented at a 45° offset, which does not block any wall outlets below. LED indicators alert users as to which surge circuits are properly functioning and rear wall mounts allow the surge protector to be mounted off the ground.

Increased Power Outlets
Watson's 8-Outlet Surge Protector with USB adds eight NEMA outlets, two USB-A ports, and two USB-C ports for all your electronics in the home and office. If you have a lot of gear, you can now power your large devices like a computer and TV from the outlets, and mobile electronics like your phone or tablet from the USB ports. All ports are protected with safety circuits that monitor power surges from overcurrent and overloading power amounts.
USB Outlets
There are four USB ports so you can charge USB devices. One USB-A and a USB-C port output 5V/3A, which is ideal for your phone and wireless earbuds. The two additional USB-A and USB-C ports accommodate QC and PD devices, delivering up to 20W to quickly charge devices at high speed.
Surge Indicator
The outlets are protected by up to 2450 joules of surging power. An LED indicator displays the working surge circuits so you can easily glance at the outlets to see that your gear is protected.
Convenient Power Plug
Sometimes the wall outlet isn't close to the equipment and the placement of a surge protector can be an eye sore. This multi-outlet unit offers a 6' power cord with a right-angle connector. Plug the protector behind the desk or nightstand with it flush against the wall, and power up your electronics on the other side of the worktable.
Rear Wall Mounts
The rear wall mounts allow you to mount the surge protector off the ground and with better access. With the outlets on the wall, you won't have to bend down and rummage through a mess of wires to plug and unplug your gear.

The outlets are well spaced, and the USB ports are placed out of the way of the 120v outlets. Seems to work well.

Very useful and has everything I need.

Pretty satisfied with this power strip. 8 outlets is ideal for my needs. My favorite part is the USB ports (4) since I don’t need to bother plugging in a USB charger, just the cable. Very convenient. One USB-A and a USB-C port with 5V/3A output for devices that are not power hungry, two additional USB-A and USB-C ports for QC and PD devices. These 2 additional USB jacks (one as USB PD) that can provide up to 20W. On that Jack, I can even charge my MacBook Air even though the ideal power required by it is 30 watt PD, but with the laptop idling it charges very satisfactorily. This 8-outlet strip, 2 of them allows plugging in power adapters, however, not all DC power supplies will fit. Some will get in the way of the next outlet jack across depending on the manufacturer design. Don’t forget that this power strip has a 15amp rating and 1875W MAX like most others do. Don’t be plugging in “2 microwaves and a hair dryer”. That’s 4,000 watts. Not even a 20 amp circuit can handle that in a single circuit. Common sense and a little electric education comes a long way for safety and common sense. Also, don’t run extension cords on ANY power strip. Having 2450 Joules of Surge Protection is good to have and adds a nice peace of mind when plugging in sensitive devices. This power strip also has a surge protector light which is supposed to be a red colored LED when protection is in working status. And finally the on off switch, which is important to have, as I have a Samsung monitor that always draws power when on standby and I don’t feel like morning it off from the monitor as the power switch is difficult to reach. I just power everything off from the power strip. It does the job expected for a power strip, has safety features and space to plugin DC adapters, and again, my favorite part are the USBs. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
