Fits Sony a7 V Despite Not Being Officially Listed
I purchased this cage specifically for the new Sony a7 V, even though it is not officially listed as compatible. I decided to take a chance to see if it would fit—and it does. The only thing to keep in mind is that if someone has thicker fingers, the Photo / Video / S&Q switch can be a bit harder to use. In my case, the clearance is fine and I can access the switch without any issues. I’ve included photos so others can compare and see the clearance for themselves. One of the main reasons I chose this cage is because I didn’t like how the other available cage looked on the camera. This one fits the camera much better aesthetically and looks very clean and professional. All the buttons remain accessible, and the cage feels solid and well-designed. Since the Sony a7 V is still very new, there aren’t many cage options available yet, so I’m very happy I took the chance on this one. I really love how it looks on the camera, and I’m very satisfied with this purchase. The photos should help clear up any doubts about whether it actually fits.
Nice but wish it was different
It’s nice and sturdy however because of the a7 rv design mixed paired with this cage you probably won’t have enough space for your finger tips to comfortably sit.
