The Plus Ve is compatible with any PocketWizard using the E Release firmware, using the same frequency. Be sure to update the firmware in your Plus IIIe to the most current version to ensure compatibility.

No, the Plus Ve only uses the E Release firmware protocol. It will work with any PocketWizard that can be upgraded to the E Release, using the same firmware. The Plus II radios are Legacy only and cannot be upgraded.
The PlusXe and PlusX can be used with your Plus II.

PocketWizard dealers in the US can only sell FCC units. We do not have a CE version yet. It will be available from our European and Australian distributors once the product is available.

The PocketWizard Plus Ve Transceiver is compatible with the Plus IV if the Plus IV has been updated to the E firmware. Otherwise, they are not compatible.

Will these be compatible with the Pocket Wizard PlusXe transmitters? Also, do these allow Relay mode and Repeater Mode?
The Plus Ve is compatible with any PocketWizard that has been upgraded to the E Release, using the same frequency. Be sure you are using the most current firmware with your other radios. The Plus Ve has Auto Relay. It does not have Repeater mode but you can use a Plus IIIe as the repeater with Plus Ve radios as the transmitting and receiving radios.

The PocketWizard Plus Ve Transceiver (2-Pack) has the same 3.5mm port as the previous models. Will these new pocket wizards work with Sony alpha models
Yes, they can be used in a Sony hot shoe to trigger a remote flash in manual power, up to X-sync. They can also be used to trigger a remote Sony camera, as long as you have the correct remote camera cable.
Note: there are a couple Sony models that do not have an external remote port. They cannot be triggered by PocketWizard radios though you can trigger a remote flash from the hot shoe.
