With antireflection, high-definition lenses delivering sharp, clear images by day or night, the 7x50 Commander Marine Binoculars from Steiner are a mainstay of the maritime world. The configuration of 7x magnifying power, 50mm objective lenses, and individual, one-time focus is a proven favorite on the water, where excessive magnification and focusing only get in the way. Open-bridge design makes the binoculars easy to grip, and foldable winged eyecups keep lateral light out of your eyes.
For extra protection against dirt, oil, and water, Steiner treated the objectives and oculars with a hydrophobic coating that resists scratches and makes cleaning the lenses easier without residue. The chassis is made of lightweight and impact-resistant polycarbonate that is wrapped in an NBR synthetic rubber armor that is oil, petroleu, and chemical resistant. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof to a depth of 33 feet, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes and environmental conditions.
