Ideal for portrait, product, fashion photography, and more, the GVM Quick Release Portable Softbox measures 24" and features integrated locking rods that quickly lift and snap into place so you're ready to shoot in a fraction of the time it takes to set up a conventional softbox. While the 16-sided shape of the softbox imparts a wraparound light quality, its depth gives it a somewhat sharp falloff that makes feathering and directional control easy. For further directional control, an optional fabric grid is included to narrow the beam and minimize light spill. Other handy features include a silver interior to maximize output for a dramatic and punchy light, and removable front and inner diffusers so you can regulate the softness and contrast. The softbox comes with a bowens-type speed ring.

Love this softbox, easy to setup
I love big softboxes. They make a soft, flattering light for the subject, and this one works great, just as advertised. But I do not love putting softboxes together with a bunch of rods etc.. That is why I love this GVM quick release softbox. It is very, very easy to set-up. You just lift/push the rods and it pops together and locks right in place. I love this mechanism. Super fast and super easy. Time is money, especially on the set, and I don't want to waste time (and money) setting up a softbox. So having one with fast set-up is important. It also closes just as quickly too, again saving time. I also like the build quality of this softbox. The materials seem durable and the stitches seem tight and strong. It comes with a grid too, which is appreciated. It also comes with a carrying bag which helps keep it protected during travel and storage which should limit the wear and tear on it. I bought this to work with my GVM Pro SD200B COB light and not only does it work perfectly with its bowens mount, the color scheme matches too and it looks great on a set and impressive for clients. I've even received compliments on how cool this combination looks. I am very happy with this softbox, it's great.
