To elaborate on previous answers: This grip has a pin (see the left side of the image) that corresponds with a registration hole that's in the bottom of the A7C II and A7CR (near the battery compartment), to keep it propely aligned.
The A7C lacks this hole, so there'd be no way to attach this grip without potentially damaging the camera.
