It doesn't seem like adding this 5 oz. addition would enable the feel and handling improvements it makes to the compact camera you bought...But it does! It is a very appreciated improvement, especially with the larger and/or heavier lenses compatible with this camera. It works as intended, does not block any original camera openings, such as battery compartment. You will feel the difference it makes as soon as you mount it! I love it and recommend it despite, its current price point. It would be even better at around $95.
I got it for a7c ii , i would definitely recommend it as it makes the camera super comfortable to use and more sturdy .
