Will this work with the R6ii with ef adapted lenses (commlite adapter), specifically a 24-105 and 17-40; both f4?
Asked by: James
Unfortunately, we have not been able to test the SmallRig Rotatable Horizontal-to-Vertical Mount Plate Kit for Select Canon R-Series Cameras with that combination yet. We do know it is compatible with the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R. If the Commlite adapter you own has a tripod foot that can be removed, it may fit without the tripod foot. It was also not tested with EF mount lenses, but the main issue will be with the adapter. Once the adapter fits you shouldn't have an issue with an EF lens.

Can the mount plate be rotated and locked to angles other than the 90 degree vertical and horizontal positions?

Actually, the plate can be locked at any angle between zero and 90 degrees. It cannot go outside of those angles, like the other 270 degree region, which is what I needed it to do.
