OK, at one point you're talking about 40Gb/s, and then 250 Mb/s r/w speeds. I don't get how they reconcile?

Thunderbolts 3 and 4 have a 40Gbps pipe. You can daisy chain up to 5 additional devices and all those devices use that 40Gbps pipe. The Pro-blade also gets 1000MB/s, so it uses more of that performance too. Interface vs disk speed is tricky stuff!

Why does the Pro-Blade slot on the G-Drive ...

Why does the Pro-Blade slot on the G-Drive Project transfers only 1000MB/S while the Pro-Blade Station reads/writes at 3000MB/S?

The internal connection to the problade is at usb 3 speeds (its probably a cheaper and creates less heat), where as the Problade dock is a deadicated dock for the blades with a faster thunderbolt interface/pipeline. Its a shame, but 1000Mbs is still quite fast and good enough most of the time.
