This Horizontal-to-Vertical Mounting Plate from SmallRig is a faster and more versatile alternative to using a conventional L-bracket to mount your Sony a7C II or a7CR mirrorless camera onto a tripod head. This lightweight rotating mechanism allows camera orientation to be changed with the flick of a wrist, then locked in place with a large, ergonomic knob.
The plate clamps onto the camera using the lens collar, leaving the sides and back uncovered for full access to the ports and LCD screen. The lens release button makes it easy to change lenses without having to remove the camera from the mount or the tripod. The versatile mounting base is compatible with both Arca-type and Manfrotto RC2 quick release receivers, as well as DJI RS-series gimbals, and it also features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads on the bottom for alternate mounting options.
