The elinchrom three does come with the Elinchrom El-Profoto adapter which will let you use elinchrom light modifiers or you can just put Profoto speedring and use any bodies boxes.

Seems like you can't swipe out batteries... what is the point of a portable light that runs out and you can't keep on using?
Iâve been using the Elinchrom One (along with my ELB500) and have never been at a loss because I couldnât swap batteries. The One (and I am sure itâs the same with the Three) charges quite rapidly. Most of my work is on location but if needed, I charge the unit at lunchtime.
