Simply pull down on the top collar of your monopod head and the plate pops out. The plate allows you to have multiple pieces of equipment ready to swap when you're on the go, and the included reversible mounting screw can be flipped between its 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 ends for compatibility with a wide array of equipment. Dual bubble levels are also featured, so you can be evenly alligned when shooting on uneven ground.

This allows the opportunity for quick changes on the PF monopods. I have one for the gimbal, the ball head, and the trigger release ball head. Love this system, well thought out and beautifully constructed.
