You know the line: buy nice or buy twice.  I originally purchased the Smallrig articulating arm, which is a budget option, for $15. Well, that thing wasn't very easy to use, and it wasn't as secure because the tightening mechanism is very cumbersome, which = time being wested on set. This one, on the other hand, is super easy to use, and the tightening mechanism is a lot smoother. I use these arms for my 5 inch monitors, and each monitor carries a small v-mount battery, which roughly amounts to 3lbs. We will see about long term usage, but for now it is rock solid.

Can this be used with an item that has a 1/4 20" ...

Can this be used with an item that has a 1/4 20" but doesn't have female locating pin holes? Are the pins spring loaded?

The Tilta Pro Articulating Arm with Dual Ball Heads's locating pins are spring loaded and can be attached to threaded holes without female locating pin holes.

Will the anti rotating pins work with the Fx6’s top handle 1/4-20 anti rotating holes? (Where the VF screws into)

The anti-twist pins of the Tilta Pro Articulating Arm with Dual Ball Heads (1/4"-20 Screws) will fit into the pin holes on the handle of the Sony FX6 Full-Frame Cinema Camera (Body Only).

Are the locating points retractables? I would like to use it with my camera and I don't have any locating points under my plate.

Do you mean when you said "push into" that the locating pin retracts in the ball heads? Or does it push into the item and not screw correctly? It's not clear. Thank you.

No, the ends of the Tilta Pro Articulating Arm with Dual Ball Heads cannot be removed. But if you want to add a NATO end, you can use the NATO adapter listed below: Tilta NATO Clamp Accessory Mount Adapter BH #TIANMAB
