    Billingham Hadley Reviews

Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 79.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for Leica M9 system I use it for my Leica M9 system: M9 body, 35mm Lux, 50mm Cron, 18mm Super-Elmar with 18mm Zeiss viewfinder, and 90mm APO. When I ordered this bag, I was worrying it might too small for the whole set. However, when I received the bag, I can easily load everything into it: 35mm Lux attached to the body sitting in the middle, 90mm APO sitting on the left, and all the rest sit to the right with a separator to separate the 50mm and 18mm. I have a small OP/TECH fold-over pouch for the VF so it sits nicely with the 18mm. I can also loaded the two front compartments with extra batteries, SD cards and filters. Perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Bag This is by far the best bag. I have gone through a lot of bags in my time . First the bag is made extremely well the best I have seen for gear . Canvas and leather real nice look and feel brass buttons well done . Light weight and small compared to some others . Plus does not look Like a gear bag which I like. small size but can hold a lot for the size . I fit my fuji x 100 and fuji x pro 1 plus two lens ,few batteries , iPhone , Ipad with Smart Cover , few other small items with no problem. I would highly recommend this bag to any one looking for a compact well made Bag . Little pricey but you get what you pay for .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Travel Companion! In this bag, in the main removable compartment,I have my Leica M6 TTL with a 50mm Summicron attached (although most of the time the camera is around my neck), my glasses in case, 4 to 5 rolls of film, and my iPad 2 (with Smart Cover) slipped into the back. In the two smaller pockets (which are expandable), I carry a microfiber cleaning cloth, my iPhone, a Pocket-sized Moleskine journal, and a pen. I cannot be more pleased to have my gear protected in this beautifully crafted Billingham bag. This is a must buy for those who favor compact gear, and are looking for an elegant camera bag!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little bag Excellent quality bag. It fits more than you think when looking at the bag. I was able to carry a Fuji X-Pro 1 with the 35mm lens and hood, a pair of Leica 8x42 binoculars, rechargeable battery/charger and a a few small items (SD cards,etc.). The stitch work on the bag is very good and the quality of the leather is evident. I liked the khaki color much better than the black althoug it will get dirty much quicker. My only complain is I which it had a small handle. The padded interior can be removed and the camera bag turns into a nice messenger style bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this size Been using Billingham bags for over twenty years. The first ones I still have and still look new! This particular size is perfect for me for my Leica T or M if I do not carry much more than camera and small lens, and EVF. It duals as my every day bag too so can carry with me always with my phone, and other bag stuff. The best part is not too heavy. I have tried a couple more trendy leather bags made for the M, but the weight of those plus the camera gear is why I don't use them on a regular basis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i love it i love it i love it! Finally a super cute fashionable camera bag! Every time I take out my Canon Rebel I feel like I am in London on a super cool show like Downton Abbey. Besides its looks, my Hadley is very waterproof (I got caught in the rain one evening and it stayed completely dry), it is very easy to access, comfy, and plenty of room for my SLR and Olympus OM-1 (or lenses). Also, I use the pockets for my card reader, extra battery, lip balm, my iPod and the back slot for my Moleskin. It comes with many removable inserts if you really wanna organize your bag (I just use 1 insert). I never write reviews, but I feel so passionate about my Billingham I decided the whole world had to know.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Holds Camera & iPad The Hadley Small is large enough to hold a rangefinder, extra lens, etc.. You can also place an iPad or similar device behind the padding insert. So it's not so small after all. I mostly use it for my Leica kit but the Small easily holds my Fugifilm X100. I also own a similarly sized Artisan & Artist bag. Both are well made but am happier with the Billingham. You cannot go work with either company though. Some folks balk at Billingham prices. Check out Fogg camera bags should you need to remedy any buyers remorse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traveled international with my Hadley My bag is over 30 years old and well used. It's starting to wear on some of the bottom corners, the leather closure tabs are soft, and I've had to replace the inner bag once. I've carried Nikon, Leica, Contax, and a host of other cameras as I crossed hundreds of borders. I've even carried a bag full of ice, food, and clothes. I'm down to three different Billingham bags (I've owned over 6 of them) and still have a Billingham portfolio briefcase. I'm just saying, they're expensive to buy, but their reliability is exceptional and you don't realize their value until you've covered over a million miles. Can you believe I sold 2 bags on that auction site that were over 25 years for more than I originally paid!

    question

I own a Fujifilm x-e2 with a 18-55 lens, later certainly one or two other lens and a flashlight, and I want to buy a Billingham bag. I hesitate between the Hadley small, L2, f2.8 and Hadley pro. Who can help me finding the best model (not too big, not too wide, with possibly additional pockets)?
    Asked by: Anonymous
I have the Billingham Hadley Small and will probably by the Pro bag, the next size larger. I use an Olympus OM-D E-M1 and B-H Small fits the camera with a lens attached, and two to three other lenses in the main compartment. I can also fit a camera strap, microfiber cloth, batteries, memory card, lens pen (for cleaning) and a small notebook, pen, extra glasses and some other odds and ends in the front pockets. That's sufficient if you're working out of a vehicle where you can bring additional gear, or for a day where you're comfortable with the items you can fit in the bag. But it's cramped. The Pro bag is still a reasonable size to carry, it includes a top handle that I miss on the Small bag, and it allows your carry more gear, especially lenses, without the bag feeling quite as cramped as the Small. The Pro bag isn't that much more expensive, and it's a lot more economical to get the right bag the first time. Good luck!

    question

    Will this fit a Nikon D7100 + Helios 40-2 (the dimension of helios is approx. 3.23 x 3.23 x 3.9 in. /82.0 x 82.0 x 99.0mm) and a samyang 85mm 1.4?- D7100+Helios 40-2 (mounted)- Samyang 85mm 1.4

I can't say for sure but I do own this bag and use it to carry an Olympus OM-D E-M1 with 12-40 Pro mounted. Also in the bag are 40-150 Pro zoom and a 60 macro. Check out the measurements of these individual items and compare them to your Nikon. The Nikon is a larger body but my 40-150 and 12-40 zooms are large lenses for the M 4/3's format. I love the bag because it has a small footprint and is very narrow, it's the smallest bag I've found to fit my preferred kit. If the Hadley small is too tight for you, I'd highly recommend the next larger Hadley, they're beautiful, high-quality items.
