The black Powerline 8 Battery Charger from Ansmann charges up to 8 AA or AAA-sized nickel-metal hydride rechargeable batteries. Eight individual LCD indicators display the charging status for each battery. Patented technology permits the charging of different size batteries simultaneously. Each battery slot is monitored separately so that the batteries can be charged individually and independently of each other with a charging current of 500mA up to their maximum capacity.
Discharge function is available for round cells that have been previously damaged or have deteriorated after a long period of storage. By repeatedly discharging and charging, these batteries can be refreshed and their capacity increased again.

Defective batteries or batteries inserted upside down, as well as disposable batteries, are automatically detected and not charged. Thanks to microprocessor-controlled charging technology with multiple overcharge protection through voltage monitoring and a safety timer, the batteries automatically switch to pulse-trickle charging after they have been fully charged. This function guarantees optimal performance and a long battery life.
