Horizontal Stabilization
The M2 Core Kit Volt Upgrade from Steadicam provides both horizon leveling and headroom stabilization for M2 Core gimbal stabilizer users. This upgrade kit includes the internal M2 stage sensors and controls and the Volt gimbal drive. Typically ordered at the time of your build, it does not include the Padded Docking Bracket already supplied with your M2 Core Kit. Note that to use this Volt upgrade, technical proficiency in installing hardware and electronics is required.

Maintains Horizon Stability
- The Volt works with your sled's inertia and neutral balance, generating an artificial bottom heaviness to keep the horizon level and the headroom stable.
- Using the Volt enables users to concentrate on precise framing, timing, navigating, and other more interesting aspects of operating.
Fine-Tuning
- The strength of the roll and tilt assistance may be individually fine-tuned to the operator's preferences and easily adjusted for each shot.
- The Volt assistance can feel like operating a sled with a very long drop time—easy to tilt or roll, or it can provide full gyro simulation with the sled locked hard to the horizon in roll and/or tilt.
- The operator remains in control and can easily override the Volt assistance when desired.
Friction Mode
The Volt's Friction mode enables operators to emulate a fluid head with tilt hold and a fixed horizon.
