The VT-20 Aluminum Mini Tripod with Ball Head from SmallRig is an ideal mini tripod for compact DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, smartphones, action cameras, and other devices. Its five-section aluminum alloy legs and quick-tightening design extend the tripod to as high as 20.5" and bear a load of up to 13.2 lb. It has reverse-folding legs for a folded length of only 7.1" and weights just 1.54 lb. The extendable center column adds more height, and it includes a ballast hook for added stability.

SmallRig VT-20 Overview

The VT-20 Aluminum Mini Tripod with Ball Head from SmallRig is an ideal mini tripod for compact DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, smartphones, action cameras, and other devices. Its five-section aluminum alloy legs and quick-tightening design extend the tripod to as high as 20.5" and bear a load of up to 13.2 lb. It has reverse-folding legs for a folded length of only 7.1" and weights just 1.54 lb. The extendable center column adds more height, and it includes a ballast hook for added stability.

Solid build. My Nikon FE is really stable with a 300 mm lens. The little legs extend pretty for considering how small it is, and it does fold up to be pretty small. Perfect for carrying around; you have to have a wall or fence or other surface to add height, but if you really need height you should know that a compact tripod like this is not for you. Fits neatly into a 10L Peak Design sling with plenty of room for two cameras and a bunch of lenses and a laptop. I just bought and we'll see how long it holds up.

Traveling in UK. Tripod is small, easy to pack, carry around and able to safely support my canon r6 with my rf f4 70-200 zoom.

Is this compatible with the Peak Design PL-S-3 Standard Plate? It looks like it might be.

Would this included phone holder work with a iphone 16 pro that has the smallrig Mobile Video Cage Flagship Edition on it?

You can connect the cage to the release plate available with the tripod. The phone holder available with the SmallRig VT-20 Aluminum Mini Tripod with Ball Head can be expanded to 3", while the SmallRig Mobile Video Cage Flagship Edition for iPhone 16 Pro is 3.6" wide; therefore, you cannot use those two accessories together.
