TASCAM CD-A700 Combination CD Player and Cassette Player/Recorder

The CD-A700 is a professional combination CD player and cassette player/recorder housed in a 3U rack-mount chassis. Although a multi-purpose integrated combination deck, the unit still delivers the features required for an individual cassette deck or CD player. For situations that require interfacing with balanced equipment the unit provides XLR connectors on both inputs and outputs. A 15-pin "D"-sub connector is available for connection to a suitably equipped controller.

Functions on the CD player include 20-track programming and a repeat function that allows repeat playback of any single tune, the entire disc, or any desired portion on the disc designated by two (start and end) points. The CD-A700 also includes random playback. Pitch adjustment (+/-12%) is independently available on both the CD and cassette decks.

Features like CD to tape synchro dubbing and continuous play features make the CD-A700 ideal for installation and production environments. Compatibility is further enhanced by an S/PDIF coaxial digital output from the CD player. When combined with a mixer, sounds from a CD and microphone can be mixed and recorded to the cassette deck. This option is perfect for custom-made background music or pre-recorded announcements.
