Providing a preamp circuit inspired by famous vintage tube preamps, this module offers warmth and an extremely colorful sound character.
This single-channel preamp cartridge is built around two high-voltage 12AU7 / ECC82 vacuum tubes, with no solid-state components in the signal path for a pure tube tone. I/O is transformer balanced and unbalanced for superior CMRR and isolation, reducing hum. By adjusting input gain while maintaining constant output volume, very pleasing analog saturation can be obtained without overloading your converters. When loaded into an Inherit rack chassis, the onboard pad provides -30 dB of attenuation for reining in overly hot signals.
