Godox X3 Reviews

This Used to Come With a Metal Hotshoe

I bought the X3 for Sony back in 2024. It works great. I wanted to get a second one, but I see they've intentionally downgraded the quality by using a plastic hotshoe to try to push you to the more expensive "pro" model. They kept the price the same. That's pretty shady.

Works great - mount is a bit fiddly on Canon R8

Pretty much plug and play. Set the chanels to match and off you go. Color Touch screen and form factor are great. As noted elsewhere, mount not so much. It's fiddly and, as such, presents an annoyance. Dock it a star for that annoyance but it does stay in place. Don't order if that that bugs you. I shoot 80% on a tripod when I use flash, so not too bad. Still...Godox...c'mon!

Can the Godox X3O be used to trigger an OEM ...

Can the Godox X3O be used to trigger an OEM Olympus FL-900R or an OEM Lumix DMW-FL200L or will it only work with Godox flashes?
Asked by: Jeffrey
The Godox X3 O Touchscreen TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Olympus and Panasonic (B&H# GOXNANOO) is designed to work with Godox's proprietary X radio system, something with which most Godox flashes, most Godox strobes, and Godox X1R receivers are also compatible. While Godox does not make a version of the X1R receiver specifically for Olympus or Panasonic speedlights, you can use a Godox X1R receiver designed for use with another brand of camera (the Godox X1R-N TTL Wireless Flash Receiver for Nikon (B&H# GOX1RN) is usually recommended) and then still be able to signal your flash to fire on a manual exposure basis and without the ability to adjust the flash's power or other settings from the transmitter.
