Godox X3 Reviews

Super Upgrade for my X2T Trigger

I 've had my X2T trigger for many years. It still works great, but I just bought the iT32 with X5 trigger and I was able to see the convenience improvements of that device that I wanted (TCM, touchscreen, quick group adjustments, etc). TCM and easy to use touchscreen were the biggest time savers that I was looking for, and the X3 delivers. Works seamlessly with my other Godox X-System devices. Super easy to use, if you're familiar with multi-light set ups. It comes with a nice custom protective pouch and is about 1/3 or 1/4 the size of my old trigger as well. My only (very small) gripe is that it does not have a flash sync port for older cameras, but I had a cheap PC sync to hotshoe adapter laying around, so I can use it with my Mamiya RB67.

Awesome, but not entirely intuitive

I love that it is smaller. The touch screen is not better or worse, though I would say I end up searching through swipes to find stuff sometimes.

would this be able to support the SB-R200?
Asked by: Manny
No, the Godox X3 N would be used if you are wanting to use Godox flashes in TTL mode in your Nikon TTL eco system. In order for you to trigger the Nikon SB-R200 Wireless Remote Speedlight, you can add the Godox X1R, and then the Godox X3N will work, or you can get the Nikon SU-800 Wireless Speedlight Commander Unit.

Why does the Hasselblad X2D II only work with the ...

Why does the Hasselblad X2D II only work with the X3N trigger in Legacy Hotshoe mode?
Asked by: Joachim
Godox manufactures various versions of its triggers, including the Godox X3 models, designed to emulate the communication protocols of major camera brands such as Nikon, Canon, and Sony. However, Hasselblad's protocol is different enough that the Godox trigger's Nikon-emulation mode is not fully compatible with the X2D. By setting the Godox X3 N Touchscreen TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Nikon to "Legacy Hot Shoe" mode, you force the trigger to ignore the data pins on the hot shoe. It focuses only on the most basic function: activating the flash using the simple firing pin at the center of the hot shoe. Simple trigger: The trigger's function is reduced to a simple, manual signal that tells the flash to fire in sync with the shutter. No automated features: This mode sacrifices all advanced functionality that relies on the data pins, including TTL metering, high-speed sync (HSS), and remote power control from the camera. Reliable firing: The trade-off for losing the advanced communication is reliable, consistent triggering for manual flash photography.
