Securely monitor your surroundings with the Tapo C425 Smart Wire-Free Security Camera from TP-Link. This unit uses a 1/3" progressive scan CMOS sensor to capture 2560 x 1440 resolution video at 30 fps. IR LEDs deliver up to 98' of night vision. Additionally, dual spotlights provide illumination for recording full color video at night and in low-light conditions, while deterring unwanted activity. The camera features a 2.1mm fixed lens that provides a 150° diagonal field of view, along with a built-in speaker and microphone for two-way audio. A memory card slot supports microSD cards up to 512GB (available separately).
More DetailsRemote management is possible via the Tapo app for iOS and Android. Compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant enables seamless voice commands. The camera is housed in an IP66-rated enclosure for safe outdoor use.

Can the camera be connected to the AC charger full time?
Hi Michael,
Yes, the charger can be connected full-time. Please note, however, that the included power adapter/charger and its connector are not weatherproof. So, if you plan to use the camera outdoors, the camera, charger, and connector need to be sheltered from the elements. Alternatively, you may want to consider our Tapo Solar Panel, which is designed to charge the camera using solar power and is equipped with weatherproofing elements.

Does this unit require a hob? And/or can it be added to a system which utilises two Taps 420S2's?
The TP-Link Tapo C425 Smart Wire-Free Security Camera only requires that you have Wi-Fi 2.4ghz to connect to when using the Tapo App. The camera does not require a HUB to operate in your home. Also since this is a Tapo camera it can be added to an existing set of Tapo cameras so you can view all of them in the Tapo App.
