The wrist strap helps to move around freely and makes easier to shoot when you want to leave the camera over the table or somewhere else. And the Peak Design you can also change easier from the wrist strap to the shoulder/neck strap. Great product.

Scratches and rip marks on my camera…

I hate this product for scratching my new camera and lens up. I value how my camera looks and want to keep it as nice as possible for as long as I can. I don’t mind having usage wear, but these are unflattering scratches. Probably my fault for not being more careful, but I’d expect a brand like Peak Design to make sure their stuff are well thought out to not harm your gear, but apparently not.. I’m never using this again because it will rip and scratch my lens and camera eventually more. I don’t understand why the material that adjusts the cuff is made of this hard AND SHARP material..

Can the cuff be used as a security strap when carrying a large telephoto lens?
Asked by: Arnie
The Peak Design Cuff Camera Wrist Strap (Black) would not be ideal to use as a security strap for a large telephoto lens. I'd recommend the Kirk SS-1 KES Security Strap, B&H # KISS1.

Does this scratch the camera if left attached and placed into a camera bag?
Asked by: Dan
Peak Design Cuff Camera Wrist Strap has an aluminum-alloy sliding buckle which allow you to adjust the strap to your wrist can potentially scratch your camera LCD if your bag is not holding the camera in place. The strap is really easy to detach from the anchor links. I will recommend detaching the wrist strap from the anchor if your bag does not have adjustable dividers to hold your camera in place.
