I Needed A Small Pelican Case For Carrying Just A Couple Of Lenses On A Shoot Rather Than Lugging My Large Pelican Case With All My Lenses. This Case Does The Job With Just A Bit Of A Warning. The Inside Dimensions Listed Are For A Bare Case. With The Supplied Dividers Installed You Need To Subtract At Least One Inch From Each Dimension And The Installed Lid Foam Insert Needs To Be Removed For It To Accommodate Most Lenses Horizontally. Not A Big Thing But Something You Need To Be Aware Of. Now If Only Pelican Offered The Insert As An Accessory, I Could Equip The Other V100 Cases That I Already Own. Hello Pelican - Are You Listening?

I've bought numerous small Pelican cases before and have been pleased with them. However, this Vault V100, which is my first larger Pelican case, is a major disappointment! There are large gaps around the sealing edges of the case. Although I didn't test it to see whether it leaks, they certainly don't inspire my confidence. I thought this might be just a one-off occurrence, but a search of the internet revealed this is a pervasive issue with the larger Pelican cases. Moreover, I've had much cheaper cases with better quality control. If you're concerned about protecting the contents inside, this might not be the case for you.

What does "weather resistant" mean? Also, can this unit adequately store a Canon G7XII sitting horizontally (landscape position)? Thanks.

"Weather resistant" means that it is not designed to be submerged in water , but can be taken out in the rain . The Canon G7XII will fit inside sitting horizontally.

There is no divider set for this case for sale. Pelican does sell some divider sets for larger cases.
