I'd never used a dummy battery on my FX3, but I can see how these can be beneficial and add another back up when using v-mount batteries. Each of my v-mounts only have one d-tap, so utilizing the usb-c for this dummy battery frees up the d-tap for any other need. I can also power the camera with my power bank using this dummy battery. These dummy battery is great to have as a back up, especially if you travel with v-mount batteries with a usb-c port. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
