Dedicated to the Panasonic Lumix DC-GH7 mirrorless camera, the DMW-DCC18 DC Coupler is used to replace the internal battery and power the camera using AC power for longer, uninterrupted shooting sessions, specifically when the camera's USB-C port is being used. The separately available DMW-AC11 AC Power Adapter Cable is required for use with this DC coupler. The power adapter is required when recording to a USB SSD, and this coupler is required when the USB port is occupied.

I purchased this along with the Panasonic brand AC adapter because I wanted to ensure complete reliability on important video shoots with my GH7. That being said, when used with the proper USB-C cable, this dummy battery works with the Smallrig NP-F battery plate. However, if used with this configuration, be advised the viewfinder will not display any battery power life indicator in the right hand bottom corner of the viewfinder. You will have to rely on the four, analog, battery power LED lights located on the side of the Smallrig battery plate. A minor nuisance but I thought I would mention it. (BTW, this does not happen when I use an aftermarket dummy battery connected to the barrel connector and not USB-C).
Fits perfectly, allows use of a power bank for longer sessions with no need to swap batteries.
