Pelican 1500 Overview

The Pelican 1500NF Case without Foam (Orange) is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical-resistant and corrosion-proof hard case used to carry any kind of equipment that needs to be protected from the elements. It is made of Ultra-High Impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. It has a 0.25" (6.4mm) neoprene o-ring, easy-open double throw latches that seal perfectly. It includes an automatic pressure equalization valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. It is carried by a folding rubber over-molded handle.

So strong she snapped a cable

Been using these cases for ages for music gear. Bought a new one for my camera rig. It protects, it looks professional, bright orange so I know where it’s at, exterior takes paint well for additional customization. Eventually will get custom cut foam for the components but the pull out grid foam works well for now. The hinges are so tough I’ve already crushed a USB cable when I was rushing to pack up. It’s not my first case and Im sure it wont be my last.

I would like to use this in a Kayak. Does the case float if loaded with camera gear?

It has a buoyancy rating of 50 pounds which means you can put up to 50 pounds in the case and it will still float.

Would the 1500 hold the Canon c200 in the standard ready to shoot configuration? Ideally with the Sigma 18-35/2. Also wondering if I purchase a second case could it hold the Sigma 35/1.4, Sigma 70-200/2.8, Canon 85/1.2II, Canon 100/2.8L, and a Canon 10-18/4.5-5.6. Thanks in advance for your help!

It will not. This case is far too small to handle a fully built up C200. It would not be something we'd advise purchasing for a broken down C200 either.

I have a Blackmagic pocket cinema 4K. I have a rig case and a side handle. According to inside dimensions it looks as though it will fit. Any comments or feedback?

This case has internal dimensions of 16.8 x 11.2 x 6.1 inches. That is more than enough space for the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K alone. If the cage is tight to the body it should fit as well. You would just need to measure out the exact specs of your rig to make sure it would fit.
