Best Grip I've found so far

This is definitely the best grip I've found so far. Only two complaints/suggestions for the SmallRig engineering team: 1. Wish it were a true L plate. 2. The grip portion is a little long (81.9mm) and somewhat interferes with my thumb on the wheel. I always have my thumb on the wheel as it has a lot of functionality for the camera. The grip could have been made at 80 mm or even 81mm and the wheel would be fully accessible. Deduction: 2 stars.

Pretty darn good... I will keep it and love it!

This bracket gives your fingers a comfortable place to grab onto, so you get more purchase on the body. With this larger contact patch your fingertips gain a level of micro movements that the Q3 by design is missing. Put that together with the architectural cutouts on an Arca-Swiss quick-release baseplate and this is really a BINGO. Downsides... I could wish the grip was contoured a bit differently and the door for the SD card was easier to get my fingers into...but these are things I will easily adapt to. Would I buy this again? Yes! Did I consider the Leica brand bracket? Yes, having that bracket in my hands--too small with a closed architecture of the base, and having to remove it every time you pull out the SD card!-- sent me on the search where I found this SmallRig. I wish you comfort and a piece of gear that will just become a part of you. PS I do use this together with the Leica thumb grip. This Q3 now becomes rock solid.
