Print quality is good, but I’m getting messages that documents can’t print after which they do print. When I had my laptop away from the printer, my Wordperfect kept crashing because it couldn’t connect to the printer. I had none of these issues with my old Canon printer that continued to work great long after Canon stopped supporting it. Printer is also slow to begin printing.

With an inkjet, if it's not used often the ink "dries" up and you need to buy a new cartridge. What's the story with a laser? If it's not used for a month or two, will it print properly?

Toner in laser printers, like the Brother MFC-L2900DW All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer, does not dry out with nonuse like ink can in inkjet printers. A laser printer will still print properly after not using it for extended periods.
