The four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports and 3.5mm earphone jack allow you to connect wired peripherals such as keyboards, mice, speakers, microphones, headsets, and webcams. ASUS VG34VQ3B Reviews
Fantastic screen, some mechanical issues.
The screen is really nice, especially for the price. However, there are two mechanical issues with mine right out of the box: 1. The d-pad control on the back of the screen cannot navigate up or to the right. It simply doesn't move in those two directions, as if they are blocked by the back panel itself. When changing settings, I am limited to pressing down, left, or in to confirm. Not a big deal because the menus loop from the bottom back to the top... except the volume. I'm permanently stuck at 0 with no way to increase the audio. Not a big deal since I have a much better external speaker. I believe it's a rear panel assembly issue because the bottom two buttons must be pushed in unusually far in to make contact. 2. The power cord connector on the back, while snug and seemingly a good fit, has very little margin for wiggle. A slight bump of the cord or adjustment of the screen and it loses contact causing the monitor to lose power. It doesn't fall out or unplug itself, it just needs to be perfectly aligned and firmly plugged in, and be careful never to touch the cord.
I should have upgraded sooner!
I am that guy that researches everything before I actually spend money. I had been using a 1080 screen for a long time and finally decided to upgrade, and what a huge difference. This gives me not only more area for multi-tasking but also an upgrade in brightness and clarity. I didn't want to go full 4k because gaming is better at 1440 (higher frames per second). Gaming on an extra wide format will change your idea of what FPS should look like!
