This Pliant Technologies SmartBoom Lite Single-Ear Electret Headset provides enhanced audio isolation for clear communication in noisy and loud environments. Featuring a swivel earcup with a supra-aural (on ear) design for a comfortable fit, the single-ear design allows you to maintain awareness of your surroundings in one ear, while hearing clear communication shielded from environmental noise in the other. The microphone sits at the end of an 8.5" boom, which also acts as an off / on switch as the hypercardioid microphone is turned off when the boom is raised and turned on when it is lowered to speaking position, freeing you from having to fidget with controls or find switches when moments count. The ambidextrous design allows you to wear it on the left or right, while the soft earcup and adjustable head pad make for comfortable wearing. The unterminated cable allows you to wire it to the connector of your choice, and it easily detaches from your radio pack, making it economical to replace if damaged.
