While the Small Rig claims that the H38 should work with most Arca Swiss compatible plates, there is an issue that I've just encountered that makes the use of alternative plates a no-go. The supplied plate has grooves on its bottom that lock into the roll pins on the mount, while other Arca Swiss plates are relatively smooth on their undersides and therefore do not lock into place, and the camera moves in the mount. This is a no-go for any situation, but particularly for the DJI RS3 Pro gimbal. I would ordinarily return something that is not as advertised, but its not worth the postage and I will toss the H38 into my parts drawer.
