Built-In Microphone and External Mic Input
Simply attach the lightweight miniature mic/transmitter to your talent via the integrated clip or use the separately available magnet mount for more placement options. A thread on the bottom of the clip allows you to attach a stand for desktop use.
The built-in electret-condenser mic capsule features an omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound in a 360° radius around the microphone, providing a variety of placement options and helping to ensure consistent levels, even if the talent turns away from the mic.
If you prefer an even lower-profile appearance, plug a separately available lavalier mic equipped with a locking 3.5mm Sennheiser connector into the external microphone input with plug-in power.
Onboard Recording and Rechargeable Battery
Onboard recording is facilitated by the transmitter's internal 16GB storage capacity, providing up to 30 hours of recorded audio at a 24-bit / 48 kHz resolution. Recording can be started/stopped at the mic or remotely from the receiver. In addition, you can activate the unit's Backup Recording Mode (from the receiver), which will automatically turn on the backup recording, if the wireless signal becomes weak.
The built-in rechargeable battery operates for up to 7 hours at a time and can be recharged via a USB-C cable or the separately available Profile charging bar.
A separately available furry windscreen fits securely over the transmitter's mic capsule, effectively suppressing wind noise while still providing clear sound.

The microphone lives up to what I have read. I must admit I have nothing to compare it to, but it worked just fine after plugging it into my computer and the sound is good. To be honest, I haven't used it a lot yet...but when I have used it, it has lived up to my expectations. I look forward to many recordings on this microphone.

You would need a little bit more depth than 1" to mount the clamp securely.
