It is recommended to use this suction cup on a flat surface with the weight of the arm balanced over the center of the suction cup. Extending the arm past the suction cup or side mounting the suction cup can increase the risk of failure. In these situations, it is recommended to take additional precautions such as further securing the system with Ratchet Straps or Safety Chains.
Regardless of additional safety measures, it is always recommended to push down the suction cup when first attaching it to any surface.
