The uncabled KP20 KlassicPro Graphite 6-Section Boompole from K-Tek offers increased interchangeability with its removable headpiece and other accessories. Gone are the soldered and sealed poles of the past. The redesigned headpiece, after removing a standard set screw, simply threads on and off the tube smoothly. The cable of choice can be removed or installed without soldering.
The KP20 boom pole measures 54" to 20' and can be transformed to add a coiled cable or attach a transmitter at the top or the bottom (sold separately). The KlassicPro pole is designed to be more rigid and is built with a shorter collapsed length suitable for today's production environment. The updated design is stonger, adds a sixth section, and features wider tubes that increase the stiffness and optimize handling balance. This gives you quicker cuing and better control of the microphone on set.
The KlassicPro series uses a modified collett with a thicker and smoother surface, allowing for more subtle, gradual extension of each section. Replacing the dimples with oval exterior divets and improving the finish means the pole has a better grip and smoother feel when opening and closing each collar. The boompole is hand-burnished to diffuse handling noise.
