The White Diffusion Filter Kit from SmallRig is designed for use with mini matte boxes 4409, 4411, and 4412. These filters reduce the value of the highlights while slightly lowering the overall contrast. The kit includes Grade 1/8, Grade 1/4, Grade 1/2, and Grade 1 White Diffusion filters that are installed and stacked in the matte box via a magnetic design. These filters are especially useful for smoothing out and softening facial wrinkles and other blemishes to resemble a soft, old-fashioned film look.

Unlike a traditional diffusion or soft focus filter, black diffusion filters provide little loss of detail across the image.
