Designed for keyboard and synth rigs, the Zoom LiveTrak L-6 is a small, portable, battery powered digital mixer and recorder, providing tactile controls and intuitive functionality, so you can start a music recording session in minutes.

The L-6 offers two combo XLR-1/4" mic/line inputs and four stereo pairs of 1/4" line inputs, as well as four sound pads, two aux sends, and five internal send effects. Each channel offers channel strip controls including Level, Pan, Aux 1, Aux 2, and a 3-band EQ with adjustable mid. Whether you record to an SD card, stream via USB to a computer or iOS mobile device, or do both at the same time, the LiveTrak L-6 gives you up to 6 channels (10 inputs) of simultaneous multitrack recording.

Great but Eurorack Compatible Is A Stretch

Fantastic little mixer to take on the go for live sessions BUT, if you are looking at this as a convenient Eurorack mixer/recorder, be warned, there is no gain control on any of the channels for very hot incoming modular signals. If you use this for Eurorack, you will need something to attenuate the levels pre mixer, which kind of makes this a hard recommendation for us modular fans.

I’ve been using the Zoom LiveTrak L-6 for a while now, and I have to say, it’s seriously impressed me. I originally picked it up for some on-the-go live recording, and it’s become my go-to for pretty much everything audio-related. The best part? It’s so portable. I used to haul around a bunch of gear for live recordings or small band setups, but this thing fits right in my backpack and still handles everything I need. It sounds great, too—clear preamps, solid EQ, and it’s easy to dial in the right levels for whatever I’m recording. And it runs on batteries! The built-in effects are simple but effective, and I love that I don’t have to carry extra gear to tweak the sound on the fly. Plus, it’s super easy to plug into my computer if I want to do any post-editing. Overall, I’m honestly surprised at how much I rely on the L-6 now. It’s a total workhorse, and for anyone who needs quality audio in a compact package, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.

Does this support PFL or cue monitoring? Ie to preview inputs on the headphones (or aux) channel before they are sent to main?

In the manual, Pg.14 states that the Aux Sends support a TRS connection. Does this mean a stereo signal can be sent?

The Zoom LiveTrak L-6 Portable 6-Channel Digital Mixer and Multitrack Recorder (BH # ZOLTL6) features TRS AUX sends where the Tip is hot, Ring is cold. and the Sleeve is the ground. The AUX Send is mono per the manual on page 101.
