I recently purchased this camera and there was no rectangular lens hood in the box. My Q3 28 had one. Is this normal?
The Leica Q3 43 Digital Camera comes with a small lens hood which might be stuck with the lens cap. To take the cap off, you would twist the cap clockwise and pull off as it's friction fitted. So you would need to screw the cap back on until it stops and then continue the clockwise motion to remove the cap.

Unfortunately, the rectangular hood plus filter does not fit properly in the Leica Q3 43 Digital Camera. If you want to use a filter, the Leica Round Lens Hood Q (Aluminum, Black), BH # LELHRAB, is recommended. A lens cap that works with the round hood is the Leica E49 Lens Cap for Select Leica Lenses (BH # LELC49M).
