This Center Column and Agitator Kit is dedicated to the Paterson Super System 4 Multi-Reel 3 tank, which holds three 35mm reels. The center column is used to hold reels in place during film processing and also prevents light from entering the tank during development. The agitator is used for non-inversion style agitation during processing.
I'm glad B&H offers replacement parts for the patterson tanks. I damaged this part by using it for something it wasn't intended. Was back up and running with my dual 120 tank in a couple days after placing the order.
This center column does it's job, just as it should. The reels fit snugly, yet slide on easily. They stay aligned, and agitate consistently. Paterson sets the gold standard in plastic film tanks and accessories in my book!!
