The Keygrip Folder Runway Base from Impact is a robust rolling base that is ideal for mounting heavy studio gear with a matching Junior pin, like large studio lights, C-stand risers, and accessories like wind machines and booms. It can be used to create a rolling light stand that can easily move things around the set. This rugged base features 3" locking casters for smoothly moving gear over any surface, including thick carpeting. Use a junior-to-baby-pin adapter to directly mount gear with baby pins for low angles. When folded, this base can stand on its own, which keeps it conveniently out of the way in a busy studio for easy storage and transportation.

Impact Runway Base Reviews
Makes Studio Setups So Much Easier
This Impact wheeled base has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of grip gear in the studio. I mostly use it with C-stand risers and lights (some pretty heavy ones), and it handles the weight like a champ. Plus, it makes rolling everything around super easy and quick, which is great for setting up lights and making adjustments. You can also add a stud to the bottom for positioned lights low too. The base feels solid and well-balanced, and the casters roll smoothly across just about any surface. I've even used it on thicker carpet, and it glided easily, and the locking brakes hold it firmly in place once you’re set. I really like that it folds up neatly and can stand on its own when not in use. That might sound like a small thing, but it keeps the studio floor clear and makes storage much easier. The steel construction feels sturdy and durable, and I can tell it’s built to last through years of setups and teardowns. I find this Impact runway base a reliable, heavy-duty rolling base that makes moving lights and gear effortless and fast. It’s well-made, practical, and definitely worth the investment IMO.
