herein lies the issue... product listing says compatible ("ios compatible") and lists 15/16 series as compatible...so a normal person, including one who works at bh, would assume also compatible with 17...
i've had stability issues with this. connected directly to phone it is often not recognized by 17 pro max, let alone pro res raw recording capabiliies.
connected with hub and hub to phone via usb c cable seems to work, but i dont have full confidence in it given the issues i have with direct connection of ssd to phone.
so your guess is as good as mine if actually works with 17..

The length of the USB-C male connector drive is not specified by Lexar; however, USB-C connectors are standardized to be 6.65mm +/- 0.10mm, so that is the maximum length it could be to comply with the USB-C standards.
